Eligibility

At Fishes & Loaves we strive to make each person's experience at our facility welcoming and painless. We may request information to speed up the process, but please know that it is our aim to serve every person that visits our pantry.

Proof of Residency

Proof of Residency is requested 

at the time of registration.  

Below are some acceptable 

forms of  Identification:
 

  • Maryland Driver’s  License

  • Maryland State ID

  • County ID

  • Corrections Facility Release ID

  • Passport with Maryland  Address

  • Passport with Electronically Generated Mail with name and Maryland address

  • A piece of mail with current Maryland address

Proxy Criteria

An individual can be a proxy 

for a maximum of 2 individuals.  Registrants must add proxies in  person.

To be eligible to receive TEFAP  foods from emergency food  pantries, all households must  be identified as needy through  one  of the following criteria.

Participate in one of these  automatic qualifier programs:

 

  •  Temporary Assistance to  Needy Families (TANF)

  •  Supplemental Nutrition   Assistance Program (SNAP)

  •  Supplemental Security  Income  (SSI)

  •  Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program

  •  MEDICAID

  •  Low Income (per  Comparison of Monthly  Income Guidelines)

  •  Disaster Relief

Recipient must register a proxy in-person initially.  Proxies are limited to representing 2 recipients.

Case Manager proxies can attend the pantry on Mondays and Fridays during pantry hours.  The limit is 10 recipients and each Case Manager must be able to present the following:

  • Company ID

  • Name and Address of the Recipient

  • Number of Individuals in the household
